Art enthusiasts have two diary dates for the weekend – one in Lagos Marina on Friday afternoon starting at 4pm, the other the next day in Lagoa’s Lady in Red gallery set within the town’s winery.
The first show promises the work of Art Academy Marina de Lagos – the international group that meets weekly for life drawing classes near pontoon J.
Led by accomplished abstract artist Kasia Wrona, the show will include paintings, drawings and photographs.
Among participants are well-known Algarve artist BJ Boulter and new arrival from Sintra Tom Bund, whose work will also be going on show at Lady in Red on Saturday.
The Marina group meets every Monday from 11am to 1pm and is open to newcomers.
Anyone interested should go along to Friday’s show which will also offer live music from Merv Henwood and friends.
Photography buffs may be happy to learn that, during the summer, photography workshops will be held by Jacek Ulinski.
