Portugal’s AT Tax and Customs Authority has issued a security alert about fraudulent emails, stressing that they must be ignored. “The Tax and Customs Authority (AT) is aware that some taxpayers are receiving emails supposedly from the AT in which they are asked to click on links that are provided (…) These messages are false” their purpose “is to convince the recipient to access malicious pages (…) Under no circumstances should you carry out this operation”, warns the organisation, which recommends people read the information leaflet on information security available on the Finance Portal.
