Portugal’s Nuno Borges has been eliminated in the third round of the Australian Open by Carlos Alcaraz, Spain’s tennis wonderkid.
Alcaraz, ranked 3rd in the ATP tour, put on an impressive performance which proved too much for Borges (33rd), beating the Portuguese player in four sets (6-2; 6-4; 6-7; 6-2).
The 21-year-old Spaniard will now face either Jack Draper or Aleksandar Vučić in the fourth round.
