Officers from Faro PSP police recently arrested three young mothers from Portimão on suspicion of carrying cocaine in their children’s pushchairs. The arrests came when PSP officers raided the Bairro do Palácio in Portimão, an area known as the drug trafficking capital of the Barlavento region. In total, authorities seized 120 individually wrapped doses of cocaine, which were believed to be for sale.
