A 72-year-old man died after suffering a cardiac arrest on Manta Rota beach in Vila Real de Santo António on Monday (September 16).
The National Maritime Authority (AMN) stated that lifeguards alerted authorities, and maritime police, firefighters, and INEM emergency services were dispatched. Despite resuscitation efforts by the SeaWatch project team and lifeguards, the man could not be revived.
