Belavista da Luz hotel presents new concept

The four-star unit has been completely renovated, from the rooms to the spa and restaurant

The Belavista da Luz Wellness & Lifestyle Hotel, located in Praia da Luz, has been completely renovated following an investment of €3 million. The four-star hotel has a new concept that combines comfort, modernity, and sustainability.

The news was announced at a private cocktail party attended by owners Amina Ussene and Zaide Ussene, who are from Lisbon, general manager Vanda Fernandes, various members of the team, and prominent figures from the Algarve region.

The aim of the event was “to give guests a closer look at the renovation so that they could really appreciate its quality,” highlighted Amina Ussene.

With these changes, the owners of the Belavista da Luz Wellness & Lifestyle Hotel intend to provide “excellent customer service and establish the four-star hotel as one of the best in the Western Algarve”.

Passionate about the structure of the building, with a design that recalls the shape of an amphitheatre, the owners, who also have the America Diamonds Hotel in Lisbon, aim to offer “an experience where the focus is just on relaxing, whether it’s winter or summer,” according to Amina Ussene.

The idea is that guests “really feel at home and can take the time to relax. If they don’t want to leave the hotel, they have everything they need here,” she underlined.

With a minimalist décor that combines contemporary and traditional features, the space has an intimate and extremely cosy atmosphere.

The renovation, which took place over eight months, covered all areas, from the rooms, reception, gym, and garden to the paddle tennis court, spa, and restaurant – three services that can be used by customers who are not staying on-site, upon reservation.

The Bel’Acqua Spa, where only products from the 100% organic and vegan Scens brand are used, has an indoor pool with water at 30ºC, a jacuzzi, a sensation shower, a sauna, a Turkish bath, and a relaxation area.

“It’s a health circuit to boost our heart and our circulation from the inside out,” explained the head of the Spa, Abel Correia.

As for the cuisine, the Terra-Mar restaurant is now overseen by chef Angelo Starnini, a Brazilian with Italian origins, and presents a selection of dishes faithful to the flavours of the Algarve, such as octopus cataplana with sweet potatoes from Aljezur, seafood rice, and an elaborate risotto made with three types of mushrooms and truffle sauce.

The aim of improving the quality of services also included the installation of state-of-the-art Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

As well as boasting stunning sea views over Praia da Luz, both in the communal areas and in each of the 45 rooms, the hotel has invested in high-quality mattresses, Smart TV, and Hospitality TV, “guaranteeing a sophisticated, comfortable and functional space,” according to Marketing Director César Coelho.

Photovoltaic panels, recycling practices, and electric vehicle chargers have also been implemented to save resources.
