Benfica and Fulham will compete for the Algarve Trophy
The Algarve Stadium will host a pre-season friendly match between SL Benfica and Fulham FC on August 2 at 8pm.
The match will be a part of the Troféu do Algarve (Algarve Trophy), held every pre-season and contested by elite teams.
“Benfica, led by coach Roger Schmidt, brings a squad filled with talent and ambition to the Algarve, ready to show its quality and prepare for the challenges of the new season. On the other hand, Fulham, under the guidance of coach Marco Silva, will try to impose its game and put on a competitive match,” organiser Singular Sport says in a statement to the press.
It adds that the match will be an “excellent opportunity to see some of the best players up close at the unique environment of the Algarve Stadium.”
