Bollards were installed last week along a new double continuous line on the stretch of the EN125 road between the Portimão Hospital and the entrance to the Arade Bridge, a well-known accident blackspot.
This year alone, three people have died and over a dozen have been injured in accidents on this stretch of road, which is notorious for risky overtaking attempts.
