An appeal for second hand Portuguese school books has been made by Algarve residents Judy and Simon Clayton from Dunas Lifestyle in Quinta do Lago, who are hoping to help the needy children of Benguerra Island, just off the coast of Mozambique.
Following a trip to the island the two aim to collect as many, much needed items such as second hand books, a range of school stationary, clothing and more for the children who attend the island’s only school.
All children are keen to learn however due to the lack of fundamental materials, their chances of completing their education and finding work are low.
