Brazilian president, with large delegation, arrives tomorrow

Brazilian president Lula da Silva arrives in Portugal tomorrow for an official visit that includes the Luso-Brazilian summit, presentation of the Camões prize to Chico Buarque and a speech in the Portuguese parliament. Lula da Silva, will be in Portugal until April 25 – the day he travels to Madrid after addressing the Portuguese parliament. He is travelling with a delegation of a “significant number”, with several ministers, including those of culture, health, defence, science and technology, racial equality and human rights, and citizenship, says Lusa. His arrival has been overshadowed by remarks he has been making about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
