On October 27, the Algarve Biomedical Centre (ABC) is hosting the “Mama em Movimento” event to generate financial support for cancer research and treatment.
We are halfway through October, the month dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness. There are still many ways to get involved and make a difference in the Algarve region, such as participating in the “Mama em Movimento” event in Santa Barbara de Nexe.
On October 27, the Algarve Biomedical Centre (ABC) is organising the third edition of the charity trail race and walk, open to athletes of all levels.
“The event aims to raise funds for the fight against cancer and contribute to a future of innovation, discovery and new hope”, says ABC.
The funds raised from the race will be donated to the Algarve Oncological Association and the Southern branch of the Portuguese League Against Cancer.
The upcoming event will offer participants a choice between a 6 km walk and a 12 km trail run, starting at 09h30.
The entry fee for the walk is €10, and the entry fee for the trail run is €15; both include a T-shirt. Children are welcome to join for free.
