Teachers and staff at Camilo Castelo Branco secondary school in Carnaxide, Oeiras, were horrified yesterday when they returned from the weekend break to find a scene of utter devastation: broken windows, smashed equipment, even shattered lavatories in the cloakrooms. A day later, say reports, the clean-up is “practically complete”. The cost of the vandalism however will reach at least €150,000.
