Building collapses

A derelict building in Faro’s downtown district was cordoned off this week after the roof fell in, narrowly missing homeless people who were camping inside. Correio da Manhã newspaper reports that everyone inside escaped unhurt. Firemen and the local authority are now evaluating the building to assess what can be done to make it secure.
