Armação de Pêra is once again staging the ‘Caldeirada and Ocean Tapas Festival’ taking place from June 20 to 22.
‘Caldeirada’ is a typical Algarvian dish which consists of stewed fish and sea food with potatoes, onions, tomatoes, pimentos, spices, wine and olive oil.
A number of local restaurants are participating offering typical fish dishes. These are A Grelha, Arte Náutica, Cantinho do Mar, Casa d’Avó, Cervejaria Almadrava, Churrasqueira Balbino, Churrasqueira “O Casarão”, Estrela-do-mar, Marisqueira Hera, O Fernando, O Pelintra, O Silvense, O Walter, Pôr-do-Sol (Holiday Inn), Rocha da Palha and Tasquinha dos Pescadores.
The event is organised by Silves Town Hall and supported by the Armação parish council.
