A gun was held at the head of a driver in a carjacking crime in front of his Faro home.
The driver, 50, was sitting in his parked vehicle making a phone call when the assailant approached, pulled out a pistol and threatened to shoot him if he did not exit the car.
The villain drove off but was caught hours later by police in Quarteira after he was seen driving at high speed.
The owner’s documents, phone, money and other valuable articles were recovered and the carjacker arrested.
