Follow the lives of Fatima Khan, Kate Miller, and Abena Nyator, three vastly different women from international backgrounds, as they grapple with the realities and difficulties of decisions made long ago.
Fatima is a Pakistani writer with a gift for languages, a German husband, a 10-year-old daughter, and a determination to escape her mother’s clutches. Kate Miller is a driven, no-nonsense American diplomat who needs to get her way, even as her marriage flounders, and Abena Nyator is a warm and kind-hearted Ghanaian entrepreneur consumed with self-doubt.
Having lived in 10 countries and four continents in the past 20 years, author Mariam Ottimofiore is no stranger to the task of packing up memories and forging a new life for her family in a foreign country.
Drawing on her own experiences as a global nomad, Mariam brings authenticity and depth to her storytelling, capturing the true essence of expat life and multicultural identities.

Along with Springtime Books, Mariam will be holding her official book launch in Cascais on Saturday, May 18 from 5-7pm at Avenida do Lidador 73, São João do Estoril 2765-333, Estoril, Cascais.
Drinks and bites will be served along with a Q&A, book reading, and giveaway. Signed copies of The Guilty Can’t Say Goodbye will be available for purchase.
