Castro Marim is launching a tender for the works to build a network of bicycle paths which will link the town to Praia Verde.
Representing an €850,000 investment, the project involves creating specific lanes for cyclists along a 5km stretch of the EN125-6 road.
“Many of our visitors are pensioners who appreciate nature and like to ride bicycles and get away from the concept of sun and beaches,” explains Castro Marim Mayor Francisco Amaral.
