Castro Marim in the eastern Algarve is installing 30 new water flow measurement zones (ZMCs).
These devices quickly detect leaks which are not visible from the surface, reducing water waste in a region blighted by drought.
They are being installed in Altura, Monte Francisco, São Bartolomeu, Barrocal, Montinho da Conveniência, Odeleite, Portela Alta, Brenhosa, Alcaria, Corte Nova and Foz de Odeleite.
