Please join us on Sunday, April 21, at 4pm, for our English language Mass at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Incarnation – Ermida da Nossa Senhora da Encarnação – on the cliffs above Carvoeiro.
The whole Mass will be in English: the readings, the hymns as well as the Order of Mass. All residents and visitors are most welcome!
Padre Nuno Coelho – our parish priest – will be the celebrant.
This Sunday is Good Shepherd Sunday. Traditionally in Portugal, this is the Sunday when we celebrate our Parish Priest. We offer him donations and gifts in appreciation of his nurturing of his flock. This he has done spectacularly for the international community in Carvoeiro and further afield, who have received many kindnesses from Padre Nuno.
He has set himself a mission to offer us an English language mass at Christmas and at Easter, as well as once a month throughout the year, and these are very well attended.
There will be a Reception in his honour immediately after Mass just outside the church and a small presentation. All are welcome to attend.
