A Mass in English will be held this Sunday, May 19, at 4pm at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Incarnation (Ermida da Nossa Senhora da Encarnação), on the eastern cliffs above Carvoeiro, to celebrate Pentecost.
The whole Mass will be in English: the readings, the hymns as well as the Order of Mass.
The celebrant will be the parish priest Padre Nuno Coelho. The priest is keen to welcome Catholics from every country, of whatever language.
A retiring collection for the Lagoa Food Bank will take place in aid of over 100 families in need. There will be refreshments after Mass.
This Sunday mass will be the only one in Carvoeiro this weekend as all Saturday evening masses have been cancelled. The Bishop is gathering all Diocesan clergy to celebrate the Day of the Diocesan Church in Loulé, all day Saturday.
The chapel’s usual Saturday evening Mass is at 5.30 pm (in Portuguese).
