Everyone is welcome even if you do not normally attend this church
A Catholic Mass in English will be held this Sunday, June 16 at 4pm at the chapel of Our Lady of the Incarnation – Ermida da Nossa Senhora da Encarnação – on the eastern cliffs above Carvoeiro.
The whole Mass will be in English: the readings, the hymns as well as the Order of Mass.
The celebrant will be Padre Nuno Coelho, the parish priest. Everyone is welcome even if you do not normally attend this church. Padre Nuno Coelho is keen to welcome Catholics from every country, of whatever language.
Organisers Carvoeiro Catholics say: “We have a retiring collection for the Lagoa Food Bank who have over 100 families in need at this time. Please give generously. There will be refreshments after Mass. All are welcome.”
This Sunday mass will be the only one in Carvoeiro this weekend.
The Saturday evening Mass is cancelled due to road closures for the Carvoeiro Black & White party that night.
