Catholic mass in English will be held this Sunday, February 18, at 4 pm in Carvoeiro at the chapel on the cliffs, Nossa Senhora de Encarnação [Our Lady of the Incarnation] – this is the monthly English Mass.
The celebrant will be Padre Nuno Coelho, our parish priest. Padre Nuno is going the extra mile to serve the international community through these masses in English. He adapts the mass to include any French speakers present. So, if you are looking for a meaningful celebration of your Catholic faith, in English/French, please join us. Everyone is most welcome even if you do not normally attend this church.
This First Sunday of Lent Mass will be in English: the readings, the hymns as well as the Order of Mass.
We have a retiring collection for the Lagoa Food Bank, who have over 100 families in need at this time. Please give generously.
This mass will be in addition to the chapel’s usual Saturday evening Mass at 5.30 pm (in Portuguese). This English Mass (normally the third Sunday of every month) does not replace that.
