Celebrated Coimbra choir in Olhão

They are a celebrated classical choir that travels the world, singing often for international organisations – and on December 21 they will be here in the Algarve performing at the Igreja Matriz in Olhão. The male choir of ‘Antigos Orfeonistas’ of Coimbra University will begin their Christmas concert at 9pm. Pope John Paul II heard them in 1996 and is reported to have said that “they are teaching people on earth to sing to angels”.
