Ceramics companies in turmoil over 10-fold increase in energy costs

Ceramic companies which depend totally on gas are demanding urgent measures from the government to support expenses within the sector. For some companies, gas costs have increased 10-fold, says SIC television news, “and there are no alternative within the sector”. The businesses have warned they may have to reduce both production and employee numbers. They need a response fast to their plight, they stress.
