Chamber ‘s annual golf day

The London based Portuguese Chamber of Commerce held its annual Algarve Golf Tournament and Dinner this month at the Alto Golf Club in Alvor.

Algarve for over 25 years. Before teeing-off, golfers were offered a light lunch sponsored by Francisco Brito, who operates the banqueting at the Alto Golf & Country Club.

Following the tournament, members and guests attended a reception and dinner in the clubhouse. The Espumante reception on the terrace, with magnificent views over the course, was sponsored by Atelier do Sul, design consultants with offices in Boliqueime and long

standing Chamber members. The dinner was sponsored by Alto Golf Club, with wines sponsored by estate agency Richard Neubersch.

During the evening, the special golf prizes donated by CIN Paints, were presented by John Newgas, the Chief Executive of the Portuguese Chamber.

Prizes were awarded as follows:

1st Prize The CIN Trophy: Paulo Narciso (Paseco)

2nd Prize Peter Fisher (Blacktower Financial Management) who also won Nearest the Pin

3rd Prize Sérgio Coelho (Paseco)

Ladies Prize: Kathryn Pope (Quinta da Boavista)

Longest Drive: Justin Ryan (Bragança Bruno) and Linda Kenny (Blacktower Financial Management)

Simon Perks, Deputy General Manager at Banco Santander Totta in London and Chamber Algarve Director, welcomed the guests and gave an outline of coming events. He announced that the next event would be a dinner on November 8 in central Algarve.
