Charity golf tournament raises nearly €4,500 for Algarve Oncology Association

Espiche Golf in Lagos turned pink on Monday, May 6 for a charity golf tournament which raised a total of €4,428.23 for the Algarve Oncology Association (AOA).

The ‘Mr. Captain 50 Shades of Pink Ladies Charity Golf Day’ was held to raise awareness and funds in the fight against cancer, having been hailed a “major success” by organisers.

“The Espiche Golf Team and Clube de Golf de Espiche would like to thank everyone who contributed in making our Mr. Captain 50 Shades of Pink Ladies Charity Golf Day a major success! We could not have asked for a better group of golfers, sponsors and volunteers to help bring this event to life,” Espiche Golf said in a Facebook post.

The organisers also congratulated the winning team of Anita Walmsley, Wendy Rejna, Kathleen Goodwin and Michele dos Santos.

The next Ladies Charity Golf Day event will be held at Espiche Golf on Monday, May 5, 2025.
