A wine tasting dinner to raise funds for the Algarve Food Bank is being held on April 16 at Restaurant/Garrafeira Veneza, near Paderne, at 8pm.
Organised by the Algarve chapter of the Rotarian Wine Appreciation Fellowship, the event will take place in the wine-drenched atmosphere of the garrafeira (cellar).
The Rotary Clubs in the Algarve have supported the Food Bank with various projects in the past. Funds are once again being raised for this vital association, this time to purchase equipment needed at the Portimão satellite warehouse.
With the May food collection drive fast approaching, the Food Bank needs additional equipment to handle the increase in stock.
Several wines will be presented and served with appropriately matched food.
The event is sponsored by Herdade do Mouchão (pictured) and distributor Heritage Wines. Director David Ferreira will be there to personally introduce the wines, which will also be available for sale on the evening at special promotional prices.
The price for the evening is €35, with €10 from each ticket to benefit the charity.
