CHEGA leader André Ventura (embroiled in a ‘he said, no he said’ spat with the prime minister) has declared the State Budget document released last week a “disaster” and a “fraud” that has allowed itself to be swayed by PS Socialists.
For this reason, his party will be “voting against” the document. The decision “irrevocable”, he adds – adding that he has all the necessary proof that PM Luís Montenegro DID offer him a deal in return for support for the budget (only he is not going to show it right now).
Mr Montenegro, in interview last week on prime time evening news, said his government could not negotiate with CHEGA at any point as the party acts like a weather vane.
And just as CHEGA’s ‘voting intentions’ became ‘irrevocable’, PS Socialists have announced that they will be announcing their voting intentions on Monday night (October 21) – a full 10 days before the debate on the document will be discussed and voted on in ‘generality’.
