The residences of CHEGA MP in the Azores, Miguel Arruda, are being searched today on suspicion that Mr Arruda may have been stealing luggage from airport carousels in Lisbon and Ponta Delgada “over a period of various months”. According to reports coming in this afternoon, Mr Arruda has not been arrested. The investigation is being led by Lisbon’s department of investigation and Penal Action – and the searches are taking place in Lisbon and on São Miguel island.
