A child – age so far unspecified – has been sent home from school for sharing the contents of his ‘snack box’ with fellow pupils.
The boy’s behaviour “put the well-being of everyone at risk”, says a letter from the Agrupamento de Escolas Escultor Francisco dos Santos, in Rio de Mouro (near Lisbon), published by noticiasaominuto.
“At a time when we all have to comply with rules”, the child’s ‘attitude’ was labelled “very serious” – so serious in fact that he was prohibited from attending any further classes for the day (Tuesday).
It is understood the boy was accepted back by the school today.
