Pinochet’s wife held in fraud case
THE WIFE of Chile’s former military ruler, Augusto Pinochet, has been arrested on charges of tax evasion. Lucia Hiriart was held with four of the couple’s five children as part of a wider investigation into foreign bank accounts held by Augusto, who has already been charged with tax fraud.
