The Spring / Summer catwalks were filled with bright new trends for hair and make-up. Gone were the dark, smouldering eyes and nude lips of the cooler months, being replaced instead with hip, new colours ready for the hot season.
Bright and glossy red lips were teamed with grey eyes, while bright acid pinks were teamed with simpler barely there eye make-up with just a slick of mascara. Other trend setting designers opted instead for purples and blues with ethereal shades of duck egg, lilac, lavender and pale aqua.
Also featuring strongly were more eye-popping colours including flamingo pinks, fuchsias, corals and turquoises. While many of these colours looked stunning on the top models, us mere mortals should avoid too many hues and choose instead similar colours that have been toned down a little and, perhaps, a decent tan?
