The mountaintop town marks the season with street shows, entertainment and a seasonal market between December 13 and 22.

This year, the municipality of Monchique is marking the Christmas season with a wide range of activities aimed at livening up the town and attracting visitors under the motto “Monchique Natal.”

Various activities will take place during December, such as the Christmas Market, street theatre, a circus, competitions, a wooden nativity scene, shows, carousels and more.

The streets are already glistening with Christmas lights, which will remain until January 6.

The Christmas Market takes place from December 13 to 22 in the Largo dos Chorões. This edition features traditional crafts, new creations, and regional products.
