The Algarve History Association (AHA) is holding a Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 28 at Quintinha da Música, near Tavira, at 4pm. The association is delighted to announce the return of Nikola Meeuwsen.
Amsterdam-born Nikola has played for AHA on four previous occasions and has grown from a junior prodigy at the piano into an international star.
Nikola’s programme includes works by four composers from the 19th century: Bagatellen op 126 Beethoven; Drei Klavierstücke D.946 Schubert; Intermezzi op 117 Brahms; Sonate op 11 Schumann.
As well as having one or two days in the Algarve to rest, Nikola uses this concert as a dress rehearsal for a major concert that he will give in Amsterdam in early January.
“This programme is very attractive, and we here in the remote Algarve are lucky that Nikola finds a small space for us in his crowded life,” said Peter Booker from the AHA.
