Clara Buser unveils ‘Femina’ exhibition at Lagos Cultural Centre

Algarve artist Clara Buser is hosting her latest exhibition, Femina, at the Lagos Cultural Centre (Centro Cultural de Lagos).

The exhibition features a new series of abstract works exploring themes related to femininity, nature, and the subconscious. Using recurring organic symbols such as petals, drops, reproductive forms, and water, Buser builds what she describes as an “intimate cartography in which abstraction becomes memory, feeling and and instinct.”

According to the artist, Femina is guided by a process of “psychic automatism,” allowing instinct and memory to lead the creative process, free from rational constraints.

Clara Buser holds a Master’s degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto and also studied jazz at the city’s School of Music and Performing Arts. Her multidisciplinary background informs her work, which often blends visual and musical elements. She currently lives and works in Carvoeiro, Algarve.º

The exhibition runs until May 3 and can be visited Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 6pm.

More information about the artist and her work can be found at www.clarabuser.com.
