We went to their Almancil shop for a chat and to discover the three options in the club fitting area they have available across the country.
NBG PRO-Fittings
Available exclusively at the Almancil shop in the Algarve, it’s in this new Club Fitting Studio, equipped with the latest TrackMan technology, that Nevada Bob’s Golf brings us a unique golfing experience, raising the level of service to a new standard that sets them apart from the current solutions on the market in a number of areas.
Aimed at more demanding golfers who are looking for a fitting solution that optimises not only the equipment, but also any swing and posture corrections, here the criteria used, the time spent, a subsequent and second follow-up and fitting session are guaranteed by a PGA professional/ certified fitter (Sebastião Gil, former national coach for the Portuguese Golf Federation, standing out amongst them). The goal is to offer the customer a complete experience that includes the verification of their equipment – adapting it to their specifications and preferences – followed by a more practical ‘review session’, and ending with another follow-up and fitting session, once they have their new personalised equipment.
The process begins with a brief warm-up and the measurement and analysis of our current equipment in order to gather information such as loft and lie, lengths and flexibility of the sticks, as well as any other considerations we feel are important to pass on, to help better understand how our clubs relate to our game. At this stage some problems are usually identified.
In a second phase, it’s time to recognise what we want to achieve and/ or correct with our new personalised equipment, and we start testing combinations of head and rod shapes from amongst the more than ten brands available, whilst always using premium golf balls (Pro-V1). Next, and analysing all the information collected thus far, the best possible combinations are explored, concluding this process with the delivery of all the information gathered and individual recommendations based on the latest technologies and the know-how of certified fitters and PGA professionals.
Our NBG PRO-Fitting experience ends in a subsequent fitting session, always carried out with the same PGA professional with whom we started the process, once we have received our new personalised equipment.
NBG Club Fitting Centres
