Complaints of barnyard sexism in parliament

There are complaints today of barnyard taunts and sexism in parliament, with the latest issues referring yet again to the behaviour of CHEGA (right wing) MPs. The PS’s Isabel Moreira has described the “infernal” nature of parliamentary day-to-day, in which she, and other female members, have to weather disparaging references to “cows”, while Paulo Muacho of LIVRE claims some CHEGA MPs have been heard to make the sounds of ‘mooing’ when female MPs in different parties get to their feet to take part in debates. CHEGA is clearly not prepared to take this criticism on the nose (or anywhere else), and has said it is considering filing a complaint against Ms Moreira for defamation.
