Event is held every year in Armação de Pêra
Portugal’s traditional ‘caldeirada’ stews, which are usually made with some kind of fish or seafood, will be the main attraction of another ‘Caldeirada and Sea Festival’ in Armação de Pêra, Silves.
The event will take place between Friday, May 24 and Sunday, May 26, with registrations still open until Wednesday, April 24 for restaurants interested in participating.
To sing up, restaurants must be located in Armação de Pêra and must serve one caldeirada or another dish which highlights regional products. They must also have at least one Silves wine on their menu and serve desserts made with local products, namely Silves’ famous oranges.
The registration form can be found on the council’s website and delivered by email (turismo@cm-silves.pt) or in person to the council’s tourism department.
