Countdown begins for Portuguese Wine Show in Albufeira

Over 800 wines will be on sale during the event

It’s almost time for the Portuguese Wine Show, which will return to the Espaço Multiusos de Albufeira (Multiuse Space of Albufeira) from April 11 to 13 for its largest edition to date.

This year, the event will feature 120 winemakers and an expanded selection of 800 wines, making it one of the largest events of its kind in the country.

Organisers are hoping to replicate the success of last year’s edition, which welcomed around 9,000 visitors. To make the experience even more comprehensive, the exhibition will feature an “expanded gastronomy area and the debut of confectionery,” offering wine lovers with a sweet tooth something extra to look forward to.

The program also includes the 10th Portugal Wine Competition, which will evaluate approximately 150 wines – a record number for this competition.

The event will run daily from 3pm to 8pm and admission is free, although visitors must purchase an official tasting glass for €5 to participate in the wine tastings.

The 14th Portuguese Wine Show is organised by the Bacchus Brotherhood of Albufeira, in partnership with the Albufeira City Council and with the support of the Algarve Tourism Region and APAL – Albufeira Promotion Bureau.

“With a strong track record of public engagement, this event continues to stand out as a key meeting point for producers, professionals, and wine enthusiasts, showcasing the diversity and quality of Portuguese wines,” the organisers state.
