A couple was arrested last week by GNR police in Albufeira for allegedly swindling at least three hotels in Olhos de Água (Albufeira) out of nearly €6,000.
Their ‘modus operandi’ reportedly involved booking stays at hotels in the Algarve and using “fake booking/payment slips” to fool establishments, GNR police announced.
The couple, a 40-year-old man and 35-year-old woman, have been named official suspects (‘arguidos’).
