Every country in the developed world is focusing on a spike in Covid infections just as new vaccines promising a “strong response” are being rolled out. In Portugal, the situation is just the same: some hospitals have already started re-inforcing the need to wear surgical masks, experts are encourage the elderly and most vulnerable to return to using masks in enclosed spaces/ shopping malls and on public transports and emphasis is on the perceived health advantages of taking a new Covid vaccination once the autumn campaign begins.
