CR7’s Al Nassr returns to Algarve

Al Nassr chooses Algarve for pre-season training camp yet again

Al Nassr FC, the Saudi Arabian club that Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has called home since December 2022, will carry out a pre-season training camp once again in the Algarve between July 7 and August 1.

The club posted the announcement on its social media pages, revealing that Al Nassr will play six friendly matches in the Algarve. Al Nassr had already chosen the Algarve for a pre-season summer training camp last year.

The schedules for the friendly matches have not yet been revealed, although Madeira club CS Marítimo has already confirmed it will face Al Nassr in the Algarve on July 19.

Fans hoping to see Cristiano Ronaldo play in the Algarve may have to temper their expectations, however, as the 39-year-old is currently representing Portugal at the Euro 2024. Even if Portugal is eliminated this evening in the last 16 against Slovenia, Ronaldo is still certain to enjoy at least a few weeks’ holiday before joining Al Nassr’s pre-season training camp.

After completing their training camp in the Algarve, Al Nassr will travel to Marbella (Spain) for two more pre-season friendlies.
