Cristiano Ronaldo buys 30% of Vista Alegre’s Spanish subsidiary

On July 12, Portugal’s footballing ‘superstar’ Cristiano Ronaldo acquired a 30% stake in Vista Alegre’s Spanish subsidiary, having acquired a 10% stake in Vista Alegre Atlantis in June, the group has announced in a statement today, stressing that Ronaldo’s investment “has a fantastic impact on Spanish society and will strengthen the brand’s operations in the country, which already represents the third most important market in terms of foreign markets”. For Ronaldo, “having the chance to help boost Vista Alegre and Bordallo Pinheiro in Spain is another step towards affirming the globalisation of the brands”. The Vista Alegre Group, which produces porcelain, earthenware and stoneware, totalled sales of €129.6 million in 2023.
