Roobens Denis, 31: ‘right-hand of boss of Blood Mafia Family’
The purported ‘right hand’ of the boss of a Quebec cocaine trafficking gang in a bloody war with Hells Angels bikers has been arrested in a Lisbon hotel, after being sought by authorities for seven months.
Roobens Denis, 31 (photographed above) was the subject of an Interpol red notice – a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and detain.
What he was doing in Portugal is unclear. The gang he is associated with (Blood Mafia Family) “has been entangled in a bloody conflict with the Hells Angels criminal organisation for almost a year”, explain reports – hence why he has been described in the Portuguese press as “dangerous”
On the same day that Denis was arrested in Lisbon, Canadian police led a number of operations targeting Canadian towns and cities, reportedly “following a surge of violent crimes linked to gangs”.
Extradition proceedings here will now be taken forwards. “If accepted, Quebec City police will take charge of the procedure to bring Denis back to Canada to face justice”, reports CBC in Canada.
The background to this story, allegedly, has to do with Blood Mafia Family’s refusal to give Hells Angels a 10% cut of their profits on cocaine dealing on Hells Angels’ territories.
The ‘head of Blood Mafia Family’ (the man for whom Denis is described as ‘the right hand’)’, Dave ‘Pic’ Turmel, is also believed to be in Europe, eluding authorities.
