The bizarre disappearing explosives controversy, known here simply as “Tancos” (the same of the military store involved) has returned to haunt the country’s election campaign. But while opposition MPs are baying for blood, the embarrassing subject has been pushed forwards for debate next Wednesday – ie two full days from the election results. Meantime, prosecutors plans to question the President of the Republic and Prime Minister have fallen flat.
