This Algarve’s lifestyle destination is a true one-of-a-kind luxury resort. Since 1962, families have been creating cherished memories in Vale do Lobo, surrounded by golden sandy beaches, sparkling waves and ancient pine trees. But despite its over 60 years of existence, the resort keeps on innovating and adding to its offer, and has now opened two new amazing spaces you need to discover.
Hot bread, the best coffee and sweet treats at Doce
Opened on the 1st June, Doce at Vale do Lobo is a celebration of coffee and baking. Managed by the resort, Doce will be pairing outstanding Portuguese bread and pastries with coffees from around the world. Visitors can indulge in everything from healthier pastries to super-sweet morsels such as the traditional “ovos moles”, all perfectly matched with the best coffees whose bitterness provides the ideal balance.
Doce also serves a wide variety of breads, all baked in-house. The family-friendly atmosphere suits visitors of all ages, while a bread delivery service will be available to property owners, residents and guests at Vale do Lobo.
Wine and ‘petiscos’ at Tinto
Also opened on June, 1st, the new Tinto restaurant at Vale do Lobo promises to deliver the true flavours of Portugal. Managed once again by the resort, Tinto honours traditional taverns across the country, where farmers and fishermen would stop for a bite on their way home, serving an exquisite selection of 40 or so regional ‘petiscos’ (tapas).
The immersive culinary experience will see regional specialities paired with a superb selection of wines, all of them Portuguese and many available by the glass. Located overlooking Vale do Lobo’s Praça, the restaurant offers uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean.
