Medical syndicates have threatened to go on strike during the last week of June.
Doctors blame their decision on the government’s ‘lack of response’ to demands over pay and conditions presented four years ago.
The announcement came after an inconclusive meeting on Tuesday with health minister Marta Temida – who is already facing the prospect of renewed strike action from nurses.
A new meeting is scheduled for June 7.
