With the nine parties now elected to parliament (CDS-PP having joined the eight from 2022’s elections) only 76 women have won seats, compared to the 85 who were successful in the previous elections. Beyond PAN (which only has one MP who is also a woman), Bloco de Esquerda has three (out of five MPs); PS has 30 (out of 77 MPs), AD has only 24 (out of 79 MPs) and CHEGA numbers 13 female representatives (out of a total 46 MPs). CDU and LIVRE each have one women per the four successful candidates.
