Today’s Council of Ministers has approved a draft law, to be presented to parliament, enabling electronic summons and notification in legal proceedings.
At a press conference at the end of the meeting, minister António Leitão Amaro explained that the aim is to make it compulsory for legal persons (companies) to be summoned and notified electronically, which is optional in the case of natural persons (individuals).
“Less paper, more speed, more debureaucratisation and better justice for all,” he said.
