There are 47 families in Estoi registered with the Faro Food Bank
Estoi Palace International Rotary Club (RCEPI) welcomed ‘Pai Natal’ to the Estoi Casa do Povo on Sunday, December 8, for the annual Christmas party for the underprivileged children in the community and their families.
Club President Vitor Rosão was on hand to welcome him. Those present enjoyed a concert from a local choir and the children were delighted to have their faces painted and have fun on the Disney Mickey Mouse inflatable.
Father Christmas handed out chocolates to the children and everyone made the most of the sunshine and had a wonderful time.
Pai Natal returned to the Casa do Povo on December 11 to hand out presents and chocolates donated by RCEPI to the children of the families registered with the Faro Food Bank.
Since 2009, RCEPI has supplied milk and other much-need foodstuffs to supplement the monthly food packs from the Faro Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome.
To date, the Club has given over 80,000 litres of milk at a cost of around €40,000. At the moment, there are 47 families in Estoi registered with the Faro Food Bank in need of urgent support.
